Tonight will be the night

Have you felt like you loved someone it hurts? You see, I learned that passion, isn’t only a feeling of love. It is actually just a word that is used to describe something you long for. Typically, one develops a longing for something they cherish and hold dear to them. Something that they love. It seems that every night I have this same passion. Over and over again it’s the same thing. I’m losing sleep over this. I just need to get a good night’s sleep. This headache isn’t making it any better. Tonight, as well as every night I feel the same about you. I once told you that I love you more as every day goes by. It sucks that I love you more than I ever did before, because now I can’t even seem to express this feeling I have for you. And it sucks.

This is crumbling so fast that I can’t put it back together.
We were a match, real birds of a feather.
Until one day you left me, left me to choose.
Whether I wanted to stay, or if I wanted to chase you.
But you wanted me to be happy, so it wasn’t my choice.
If only I spoke out, for once just had a voice.
Be completely selfish, and to my heart, true.
I just wanted to tell you, all I want in life is you.
With you life is annoyingly complex.
I’d rather it be that, than have you my ex. 
I hope you know how I feel, even though it’s not spoken.
And I pray to all gods, that my heart is not broken. 

They say broken hearts can be cured by literature.
So allow this poem to have my heart’s signature.
